About me

f . Hello, I'm Brenda Ned, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life challenges. My experience spans working with clients dealing with stress, anger management, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, and social anxiety. I believe that with the right support and willingness to work towards goals, anyone can change their circumstances and improve their quality of life. My approach to therapy is rooted in several methodologies, including Rogerian, person-centered, existential, and CBT. The person-centered approach is fundamental in my practice, as it allows me to focus on your unique needs and facilitate meaningful progress through empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. I practice active listening, ensuring you feel heard and understood by rephrasing your statements and asking pertinent questions. In our sessions, I strive to be a role model through congruence, demonstrating authenticity and consistency. My commitment to unconditional positive regard means I accept you without interrupting and avoid giving unsolicited advice. I also incorporate existential-humanistic therapy, which is hopeful, constructive, and centered on the present moment, helping you build a positive and forward-looking mindset. Cognitive- behavioral therapy is another cornerstone of my practice. CBT helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By changing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, you can improve your mental health. By changing your thought patterns, you can gain a clearer perception of your situation and identify what you can control. I genuinely care about my clients and am dedicated to helping them achieve a better quality of life. We will establish your goals and work toward them in a supportive and collaborative environment. If you're ready to take the next step towards a better future, I'm here to support you on your journey. Let's work together to create the change you seek.
