My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I went to Asbury Seminary to complete my degree in counseling in order to have a foundation in solid mental health and theology. My Christian faith underscores not only how I practice but how I live each day.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a treatment method that examines how our thoughts impact our emotions and our behaviors. We can examine how your thinking impacts your mood and actions in specific moments.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a treatment method that views the mind as a system of parts that is guided by the 'self'. These parts can work in harmony or can be burdened or in conflict. We can work together to understand your parts and what may need healing.

EMDR

EMDR is a therapy that helps with traumatic memories. It works through bilateral stimulation (moving the eyes back and forth) when a person focuses on a traumatic. It can help to process trauma so that it loses its emotional impact. It is not designed for a person to forget to heal and incorporate the memories.
