Hi!! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Southern California with 10 years of clinical experience in various mental health settings. The focus of my work is on children, adolescents, adults, and families. I believe the therapeutic process should be an integrative and collaborative approach toward healing, recognizing that every person has a unique history. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you if you are ready to take that step. Thank you for trusting me in your journey to healing. I look forward to working with you.
In our first session together, we will begin the rapport building process by getting to know what the main concerns are and your strengths are. This will help me to create a plan to work through in follow up sessions.
I believe the therapeutic process should be an integrative and collaborative approach toward healing, recognizing that every person has a unique history so i am committed to give each client a non-judgmental and safe space to openly themselves up fully to the therapeutic process.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 10 years. It’s helped dozens of client's challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
Ive used TF-CBT many times over the last 10 years during my work with at risk youth in the foster and probation system. TF-CBT is a treatment that will help you address the negative effects of trauma, including processing your traumatic memories, overcoming problematic thoughts and behaviors, and developing effective coping and interpersonal skills as you begin to separate from the traumatic memory.
I often use person-centered therapy (also known as client-centered therapy) in my practice as a way to encourage and support you in the process of self-discovery. I will guide you in uncovering what has hurt you and what is needed to repair. I will support you with compassion, listening without judgment and acknowledging your experience without shifting the conversation in another direction.
