New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with adults. My practice focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress, and relationship challenges through a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based approach. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy to help clients develop practical coping skills, gain insight into patterns that may be contributing to distress, and build on their strengths to create meaningful and lasting change. I provide virtual therapy services in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals so I can gain a better understanding of your unique experiences and what you hope to achieve through counseling. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. Together, we'll begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss a plan for moving forward. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—we will work collaboratively to understand your concerns and develop strategies that support your growth and well-being.
I bring over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, along with a warm, collaborative, and practical approach to therapy. Clients often appreciate that I balance empathy and support with honest feedback and evidence-based strategies that can be applied in everyday life. My goal is not only to help clients feel heard and understood, but also to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate challenges outside of the therapy session. My approach is individualized, recognizing that each client's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, I help clients identify unhelpful patterns, build on their existing strengths, and develop new perspectives that support meaningful and lasting change. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult topics while feeling supported throughout the process.
I am best positioned to serve adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I work well with clients who are motivated to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change in their lives. I have particular experience helping individuals navigate trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, mood disorders, and the challenges that come with major life changes, grief, and family or interpersonal stressors. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, combining evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy to help clients identify patterns, build on their strengths, and develop new perspectives. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood while also being challenged to grow. Whether a client is seeking symptom relief, greater self-awareness, improved relationships, or increased resilience, I work alongside them to develop goals and strategies that support lasting change.
