About me

🌿 My Approach to Counseling Forty-four years ago, I was trained as a Holistic Social Worker, and since then I’ve had the privilege of working across the Americas — with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Over the decades, I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone, and that true change happens when we feel safe, respected, and understood. My counseling approach is person-centered, meaning that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support and strengthen your natural motivation to change. There are many healing traditions in the world, and I will always honor you and your choices as we find what works best for your journey. I combine cognitive (thought-based) and somatic (body-based) techniques to help you bridge the mind–body connection. My specialty is working with stress and trauma, helping you understand how your nervous system responds and what it needs to return to balance. It’s important to remember: trauma lives in the nervous system — not in the event itself. When your system becomes dysregulated, symptoms arise because the residual energy from those experiences hasn’t been released. If your system is stuck on “High”, you may feel rage, hyperactivity, anxiety, panic, or find yourself engaging in high-risk behaviors. If your system is stuck on “Low”, you may experience depression, exhaustion, numbness, disconnection, or hopelessness. Together, we’ll gently guide your nervous system toward discharge and regulation, helping your body and mind restore calm, clarity, and connection. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect, answer your questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

🌱 What to Expect in Your First Session Before we begin our work together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us both a chance to connect, answer any questions, and make sure we’re a good fit for your goals and the kind of support I provide. Your first full session is all about getting to know you. This is our intake session, where we explore your story, the challenges you’ve been facing, and what you most want to change or feel in your life. Together, we’ll begin shaping a personalized treatment plan — outlining your goals, your strengths, and the direction we’ll take to help you move forward. By your second session, we begin working with gentle techniques to help regulate your autonomic nervous system — calming the body’s natural fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses. These early tools help ease anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms while supporting you in feeling safe, present, and more in control. My goal is to make our time together feel comfortable, collaborative, and focused on helping you begin to feel better — step by step.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I have used techniques that successfully helped veterans who returned from war with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Including those who survive natural disasters, abuse, medical procedures, and any experience where you felt your life was threatened. Telling your story over and over can be re-traumatizing and I will not do that to you! I am trained in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Art Therapy, Self-Hypnosis, Trauma First Aide to name a few. In my experience talk therapy is like riding in a car, you get there but it takes longer. When you combine cognitive and somatic therapies, it's like getting on a jet! Our World is changing let’s make that a positive. Let’s drop the weight of the past and soar towards the future, are you ready?

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

🌻 My Character & Greatest Strengths Those I’ve worked with often describe me as deeply grounded, intuitive, and compassionate. I see every person as a whole being — mind, body, spirit, and story — not just a diagnosis or symptom. My greatest strengths lie in helping others feel safe enough to explore their inner world and strong enough to transform it. I bring a calming presence, a natural ability to listen beneath the words, and decades of experience helping people make sense of their emotions and patterns. My intuition and training allow me to see connections quickly — between nervous system reactions, early experiences, and the present-day parts of self that still need care. I am creative and adaptable, often blending science, spirituality, and somatic awareness in unique ways to meet each client where they are. My work honors both modern therapeutic methods and ancient understandings of healing — recognizing that true wellness involves alignment across all dimensions of being. Above all, I lead with authentic kindness, respect, and curiosity. I believe growth happens in connection — when we feel truly seen, understood, and supported in discovering the next version of ourselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

🌼 My Ideal Client I work exclusively with adults ages 18 and beyond who are ready to invest in their own growth and healing. My ideal clients are individuals who are committed to change, even if they aren’t sure yet what that change looks like or how to get there. They are people who want to understand themselves more deeply — who may be feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected, but know there is something inside them ready to shift. They are curious about their patterns, open to exploring how their mind, body, and nervous system work together, and willing to try new approaches that foster healing and self-awareness. I honor that everyone processes at their own pace and that success takes many forms. Growth is not linear — it unfolds through small insights, gentle self-compassion, and the courage to stay present. My clients often find that through this work, they begin to experience more clarity, regulation, and connection to themselves and the world around them. This is a space for adults who are ready to step toward change — with honesty, curiosity, and a desire to feel more whole, calm, and aligned in their lives.
