LCSW, 27 years of experience
Hello, I'm Tondala, Sometimes, asking for help is difficult and you took the first step. Life can feel like a whirlwind at times and you don't know what to do or how to feel. I help a diverse group of people manage relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. We can identify the root causes and develop ways to address them. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness ( meditation/breathing exercises/guided imagery) to work through our struggles and get you back to baseline or a balance you can accept. I integrate exposure therapy to reduce anxiety attacks and improve functioning with friends/family members and in the community. Life can bring you many challenges and you do not have to face them alone. I am here to help you. Therapy can be an opportunity for you to discuss your issues and develop ways to have a more balanced life. I look forward to working with you!
During the first session, it will be an opportunity for you to share as much or little as you want with me about what brought you to therapy and what you are looking to get out of therapy. We will discuss some possible therapeutic ways to address them together. This session will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions about therapy in general or questions you may have for me.
I used cognitive behavioral therapy to address irrational thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness is utilized to help clients stay focused on the present and one thing at a time. Exposure therapy is implemented with clients experiencing high stress and anxiety.
My biggest strength is having the opportunity to gain twenty-seven years of experience with children and adults from diverse backgrounds to work in different industries to help people deal with the curve ball they've been thrown and learn ways to feel better about themselves and their lives.
I have over twenty years of experiencing serving children, adolescence, and adults with a wide range of mental health ( depression, anxiety, etc.) and behavioral issues ( anger management, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, etc.).
