Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor with more than 10 years of experience. I specialize in providing transformative individual therapy for adults and teens. My extensive experience encompasses a wide range of client issues, with key focuses on general anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, life transitions, dating and relationship challenges, and depression. Embracing a wellness perspective, I am passionate about tapping into your inherent strengths and abilities to pave the way for healing. I highly value your unique individuality, and my treatment methods are adaptable to diverse values and needs. By considering your holistic health, I aim to help you make swift and enduring results in your mental well-being journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is all about getting to know you and making treatment goals together. I tend to ask a lot of questions in the first session about your background and symptoms to get as much information as possible, but I am also totally ok with going a bit off track and allow the unfolding to occur naturally.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have extensive experience in treating a wide array of client issues from diverse demographics. I believe that diversity is a strength and I love to challenge my client's with new perspectives. By practicing holistically, I believe that I can help client's to achieve results faster. For example, I believe leading client's in making small changes in nutrition and lifestyle habits can have a lasting positive impact on mental health as all aspects of health are connected.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a values based treatment approach. I explore the client's values in order to assist client's in taking actions towards a more positive mindset reflecting their personal values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With a CBT approach sessions often look like examining how thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected. We can work at processing thoughts and feelings to create lasting change.

Christian Counseling

I received my master's degree from a Christian University. I am happy to incorporate spirituality into sessions and draw from religious strengths. I offer this type of counseling in as much as the client desires, and always seek to allow the client to lead based on their own experiences with Christianity.

Mind-body approach

I have advanced training in using integrative methods to treat mental health disorders. This means examining how whole health affects mental health. For example, taking a look at nutrition, movement, somatic interventions and herbal remedies.

Strength-Based

I believe that every person possesses natural strengths that will help them on their healing journey. By starting with examining strengths, I seek to create a space of positivity by starting from a place of abundance rather than lack.
