(she/her)
New to Grow
I'm a middle-aged human who loves to support others along their journeys to greater states of purpose and well-being and who has turned that instinct to help others into a career. I've got experience with working with senior citizens with dementia, people with chronic illnesses and pain, and I've worked in the prison system as a therapist as well as in a gender-affirming care clinic. If I could choose one word to link my broad range of work roles, it would be: advocate.
No pressure! Seriously, my style is laid-back, gentle, and approachable, and our first session will be all about getting to know you and what you need and desire from therapy.
I try to be as non-intimidating as possible. Therapy is all about our relationship, and I hope you will find me sincere, reliable, trustworthy, and always in your corner.
I work with well with any client who identifies as LGBTQIA+ or straight, those navigating any sort of identity concern (be it religious, spiritual, gender-related, or something else entirely), and those who struggle with issues related to aging and/or chronic health disorders or chronic pain. I'm motivated especially to support clients who are eager to examine their thoughts and feelings as well as behaviors, and who share a mutual commitment to the therapeutic process.
Eclectic
I tend not to rely on fads and trends, which is why I identify with the eclectic approach to therapy. I will bend and shape the framework of how I serve clients to meet their individual needs and preferences, while striving to keep their overall well-being as my foremost goal for our therapeutic relationship.
