I am a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing and 3 years of mental health experience.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to achieve emotional wellness and improved quality of life.
First session
During your first session, you can expect a supportive, judgment-free environment where we discuss your concerns, symptoms, history, and goals. I will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, therapy, and coping strategies. My goal is to help you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout your mental health journey.
Strengths
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my commitment to truly listening and meeting each client where they are. I combine compassion with evidence-based care to support individuals facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD. I believe healing happens through trust, collaboration, and personalized treatment, creating a safe space where clients feel respected, empowered, and supported in achieving lasting emotional wellness and stability.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and ADHD who are seeking greater emotional stability, self-understanding, and healthier coping skills. I work well with individuals motivated to improve daily functioning, manage symptoms, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. My approach supports clients in developing insight, increasing confidence, and creating meaningful, lasting changes in their personal and emotional well-being.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative assumptions, and develop healthier perspectives. I also encourage small, positive behavioral changes that build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and improve emotional well-being, helping clients respond to life’s challenges in healthier and more effective ways.
Christian Counseling
I incorporate Christian counseling by combining faith-based principles with compassionate mental health care to support emotional healing and personal growth. Through prayer, biblical encouragement, and practical coping strategies, I help clients navigate life’s challenges while addressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to help clients strengthen their faith, find peace, build resilience, and improve overall emotional well-being.
Psychoeducation
I use psychoeducation to help clients better understand their mental health conditions, symptoms, medications, and treatment options. By providing clear, supportive information, I empower clients to actively participate in their care, develop healthy coping skills, recognize triggers, and make informed decisions that support emotional wellness, stability, and long-term recovery.
