Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, I'll focus on meeting you where you're at and learning a bit about you. I ensure a safe, non-judgmental space to allow you to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to work on. I’ll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what you feel is important for me to know to be able to help you. We will also identify things you would like to work on and discuss ideas on the best approach for this. By the end of the session, we’ll have a plan to focus on in future sessions to help you feel supported and empowered.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I help people navigate difficult emotions, process trauma, and develop practical tools to cope and grow. My experience with individuals, teens, couples, veterans, and families allows me to tailor my approach to each client's needs. I use evidence-based therapies like ACT, CBT, trauma-focused therapy, and couples counseling to help clients gain insight, build coping skills, and feel more empowered in their daily lives. I help clients identify what matters most to them and take steps toward positive, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am skilled in supporting those experiencing domestic violence, substance abuse, self-harm, suicide risk, trauma, crisis situations, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship or family challenges. Many of my clients seek support in managing overwhelming feelings, navigating life transitions, improving relationships, or healing from past trauma. I meet my clients where they are and create a safe space for them. I help my clients process through trauma, learn coping skills, and set realistic goals, so they are able to build resilience, while feeling supported.
