About me

Whew! You made it! I know it took a lot for you to get to the point of reaching out for help! I am proud of you for showing up for yourself! Next step, choosing your therapist. It may not be me and that is ok. It is YOUR preferences and needs that are important here. So let me tell you a little about me. I'm a native of Cleveland, Ohio and currently residing in Columbus, Ohio.I have been active in the Social Service genre in some capacity since 1998. I am a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College majoring in Psychology with minors in English and Child & Family Studies. A seminary graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary graduating with a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Practical Theology with an emphasis on Christian Counseling. Sidebar: no, that does not mean that I will force Christianity on you but it is an option for those who want to include their Christian beliefs with Clinical Therapy. On the flip side this, I also specialize in Spiritual Abuse & Religious Trauma. I also completed my Master's in Clinical Counseling from Liberty University. I am certified in Mental Health First Aid. I obtained my License Professional Counselor credential from the State Board of Ohio in 2018 an my Licensed Clinical Counselor license in 2026.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session usually is a little nerve wrecking. After all, you’re about to share all the things with a stranger. I don’t know you, lady, and you want me to spill all my stuff to you?! Yeah, that feeling is definitely present. But at the end of the session, I hope you feel a little less nervous, a little more heard, and a lot more received. Let’s not forget hopeful. Yep. Hopeful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe in custom made, interactive & practical approaches to counseling, I am totally against cookie cutter therapy Just because you may have the same diagnosis as another, it does not mean you should have the exact same treatment You are an individual and should be treated as such. You WILL be challenged, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry and it’s all welcomed. Let’s help you find you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is flawed. They might know or they might not. They may know it all too well or they may completely believe that flaws are for other people. No matter which one is them, they are reaching out to be seen, heard, and understood. They are ready to work, learn, stretch, & grow. To not only FEEL better but to BE better.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Your thoughts control your emotions. How you act, react, or don’t react at all derives from your thoughts. Then there are those times when your emotions are in the driver’s seat. Then there are times they switch and your thoughts are in the driver’s seat. I use CBT to help you take control of the driver’s seat.
