I have over a decade of experience helping clients learn unique ways to manage the challenges associated with depression, anger, grief, trauma, and anxiety. Additionally, I enjoy supporting clients who experience challenges related to parenting children with mental health or special needs, co-parenting, foster care, adoption, pregnancy, and post-partum. I am a Trauma Focused - CBT certified therapist, with a strong skill set for identifying trauma's impact and for developing strategies to reduce that impact in day-to-day life . I am also a Certified Grief Professional and am a board-approved Supervisor for both social workers and counselors in the State of Maryland.
I will spend a short amount of time with introductions, then gather relevant information about your history and past experiences with therapy (if you have any!). We will talk about your goals for our time together and develop a treatment plan.
I pride myself on my ability to assist clients in processing emotions related to anxiety, depression, complex traumas, and grief. I use the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices to ensure that my clients can gain the most benefit and healing from our time together. Everyone has their own unique experiences, which require unique and especially-crafted interventions for maximum empowerment and healing.
Adults and teens with anxiety, depression, trauma history, and grief.
I will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist you in identifying, accepting, and regulating your thoughts and emotions. CBT will help shift perspectives to more adaptive patterns of thinking, resulting in an overall improved outlook on life.
