Want to schedule a free 15-minute consultation before you commit to therapy? Go to rosemarkcounseling.sessionshealth.com! If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by past experiences, you’re not alone. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, and the lingering effects of childhood trauma or difficult relationships. You might feel like you’re constantly trying to meet everyone’s expectations, walking on eggshells, or wondering why you can’t just "let things go." If this sounds familiar, I’m here to help. I specialize in working with adults who are highly sensitive, people-pleasers, or carrying the weight of past wounds that still feel present. My approach is warm, supportive, and trauma-focused, blending EMDR, CPT, CBT, and DBT strategies to help you gently process difficult experiences, break free from unhelpful patterns, and develop tools to feel more grounded and in control of your life. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and move forward with confidence.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session is all about getting to know you—your story, your struggles, and your goals. We'll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, discuss how past experiences may be impacting your present, and begin identifying the patterns that might be keeping you stuck. This is a safe space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure. We’ll also talk about what approaches may be most helpful for you so we can create a plan that feels aligned with your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I create a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My approach is warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed, ensuring that you feel safe and in control throughout the healing process. I have specialized training in EMDR and CPT, which allows me to guide clients through processing past experiences in a way that feels manageable and empowering. Above all, I deeply believe in your ability to heal, and I am here to walk alongside you in that journey.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with adults who identify as highly sensitive, have people-pleasing tendencies, and carry the weight of childhood trauma, difficult relationships, or grief. Many of my clients feel exhausted from trying to meet others' expectations, struggle with anxiety or self-doubt, and wonder if they will ever feel “enough.” If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, I provide a compassionate space to help you heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

As a structured, evidence-based approach to treating trauma, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) helps clients identify and reprocess stuck points—thought patterns that keep them feeling trapped in distressing emotions. I guide clients through recognizing how trauma has shaped their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world, working together to challenge unhelpful thoughts and create new, more balanced perspectives. This process fosters healing by reducing trauma-related distress and increasing a sense of safety and self-trust.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhealthy behaviors. My approach is collaborative and focused on building coping skills that empower clients to reframe negative thoughts, manage anxiety, and regulate emotions. I incorporate practical tools such as thought records, behavioral experiments, and mindfulness techniques to support clients in developing healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges.

EMDR

EMDR is a highly effective treatment for trauma, and I integrate it into my practice to help clients process distressing memories in a safe, structured way. Using bilateral stimulation, we work together to reprocess traumatic experiences so that they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck in the present. This approach allows clients to gain new insights, reduce emotional reactivity, and move forward with greater resilience and emotional freedom. I tailor EMDR to each client’s needs, ensuring a compassionate and paced approach to healing.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At the heart of my practice is a person-centered approach that emphasizes unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity. I believe that each individual has the capacity for growth and self-healing when provided with a supportive, nonjudgmental space. By deeply listening and reflecting clients' experiences without imposing judgment or solutions, I help them develop self-awareness, self-acceptance, and confidence in their ability to navigate life's challenges.
