New to Grow
I am 35 y/o male with lived experience who is very open minded and yet also have 15 years experience working with every type of person without very many exceptions of not clicking. I feel like my ideal client would be goal oriented and be willing to work on the issues at hand. My goal is not to be a life-long friend but to help solve what problems you have.
Depends. If there is a pressing issue we can jump straight in, otherwise i like history gathering and building rapport
My laid back and cultural experience. I have worked well with everyone from a Vietnam veteran to a closeted nonbinary individual.
I am a 35 y/o male who has lived experience and enjoys helping others. I have 15 years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health treatment and have found a rhythm that seems to click with most people. I am very laid back but am take ethics and confidentiality very seriously. My ideal client is one willing to be pushed and work towards a goal. I love friendships but i fully believe therapy should be used to work toward a goal and to grow/fix the issue, not just be friends.
EMDR
informal/laid back but very professional I have perfected my approach to dealing with problems ranging from severe trauma to "feeling lost" - i enjoy a eastern philosophy approach (which CBT, DBT, and ACT are based on)
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Radical acceptance is a game changer, things do not exist the way we think they do
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Basic but a westernized version of learning how our behaviors emotions and thoughts affect ach other
Couples Counseling
Love couples work, taking sides is not something i do, sometimes having a mediater is all that is needed but i do utilize Imago practices.
Existential
Something i am personally interested in and have found modalities that are useful in dealing with these types of dilemmas
