Rob Cline
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist dedicated to helping people better understand and manage the sometimes overwhelming areas of their lives. Much of my work is surrounded by the strong belief that everyone can confidently lead an open, secure, proud, and fulfilling life. For more than a decade, I have provided treatment for men’s issues, anxiety and mood disorders, interpersonal concerns, assisting people to embrace their sexual orientation, and gender affirming care. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and a sex-positive professional, I am particularly passionate about treating individuals within the community through some of the unique challenges that we may face while remembering that our journeys are all different.
First session
My therapy style is generally more informal and should feel like a casual conversation while still maintaining respect, compassion, empathy, humor, acceptance, and understanding.
Strengths
My approach to therapy is to provide a safe and welcoming space that fosters a strong therapeutic connection and encourages people to better understand their identity, emotions, needs, and desires. I strive to offer a person-centered, tailored experience while maintaining the belief that everyone’s unique identities and how they move through the world are very important.
Treatment methods
Eclectic
My eclectic therapeutic process integrates components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Object-Relations Therapy, and Ego Psychology.
