I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Mimi Mental Health. I have 15 years of experience in psychiatry and 2 years as a PMHNP. I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and burnout, especially those who feel overwhelmed and no longer like themselves.

I take time to educate my clients so they feel confident and empowered in their treatment decisions especially when it comes to medications and managing side effects.

I provide compassionate, personalized care with a strong focus on medication management, education, and emotional support so you can feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your mental health.

First session

During our first session, we’ll take time to discuss what’s been going on, your symptoms, history, and goals for treatment. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to fully understand your experience and what you’re hoping to improve. We’ll review any past or current medications, discuss concerns such as side effects, and begin creating a personalized treatment plan that feels comfortable and realistic for you. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and clear on next steps.

Strengths

My greatest strengths are my ability to truly listen, create a safe and non-judgmental space, and provide thoughtful, individualized care. I take time to educate my clients so they feel confident and empowered in their treatment decisions especially when it comes to medications and managing side effects. I’m known for being approachable, supportive, and collaborative, while also providing clear guidance to help clients feel more stable, in control, and like themselves again.

Ideal clients

I work best with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and burnout, especially those who feel overwhelmed by daily responsibilities and no longer feel like themselves. Many of my clients are used to “pushing through” but are now ready for real support. I support individuals who want guidance with medication management, are concerned about side effects like weight changes or fatigue, and are looking for a provider who will truly listen and collaborate with them on their care. My ideal clients are open to growth and ready to prioritize their mental wellness.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Many of the women I work with struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, and negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and depression. In our work together, I help you identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping strategies you can use in your daily life. I often integrate CBT alongside medication management to provide a well-rounded and effective treatment approach.

Supportive

I provide supportive therapy to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and validated. Many individuals come in feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained, and this approach allows us to process those experiences while building emotional resilience and confidence over time.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to help clients who feel stuck, uncertain, or ambivalent about change. Whether it’s starting medication, improving routines, or prioritizing self-care, I work collaboratively with you to explore your goals and build the motivation needed to move forward at your own pace.
