New to Grow
My name is Chris; I am a 42-year-old Veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I have been working mainly with populations with trauma, Severe-Persistent Mental Illness, Veterans, LGBTQ+, and those in Recovery (Struggling with Addiction). After having my son, I felt a calling to try and support others with this new transition in their lives. Using my mistakes, successes, and educational background to help guide them.
I look at a therapist-client relationship like any other. We aren't all fits and that's okay. The first session is simply getting to know one another, learning what goals you may have and sharing concerns about potential barriers to success.
I'm non-judgmental, easy to speak with, and work hand in hand with the client to find successes.
Working with a population that is new to parenthood, using my education and life experience to support them during this new transition in life. While also ensuring they are providing post-partum support to their partner. I am a father to a 5-year-old son who is neurodivergent (AuDHD) and have personal life experience that can be valuable insight in supporting them through this transition in life.
