Hi there! Do you have difficult relationships in your life that you are trying to navigate? Would you like to better understand how trauma has affected you and your relationships? Would it be helpful to explore your relationship with substance use or medication in a non-judgmental way? Are you struggling with one or more chronic illnesses that impact your mental wellness and quality of life? Therapy provides you with the dedicated time and space to explore your concerns and address your wellness needs. My approach is to help others find their strengths so they feel empowered and supported to take on challenges with a little humor along the way. Neurodivergent provider and LGBTQ+ ally Please note I do not provide: Couples therapy or Documentation requests for outside providers/entities. If documentation is required during the course of treatment additional out-of-pocket fees will apply.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you'll share some information about yourself and what you'd like to work on in therapy so I can best understand you and your unique circumstances. We'll use this information to clarify your goals and better understand how the therapeutic relationship can help you. As sessions progress, I'll share my observations about personal and family patterns and review your successes. We'll regularly assess your satisfaction with therapy and how the journey is going.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use trauma-informed and person-centered techniques so I can provide a compassionate, supportive, and respectful environment for you to share your experiences. If you desire to change but aren't feeling sure about it, my Motivational Interviewing gives you space to explore your readiness to change, reflect on current barriers, and identify your strengths to overcome them. I utilize elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you understand how thoughts, feelings, and attachment style impact your behaviors and interpersonal patterns.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My holistic style will help you consider the interplay of physical and mental health. A broad range of conditions and factors can impact mental wellness and I will help you consider these so you can better meet your needs and give yourself more compassion. I make use of genograms, or family maps, to help understand your relationships, family patterns, and intergenerational trauma. For those with medical and/or hormonal conditions [i.e. autoimmune disorders, PCOS], I will review ancillary medical documents so I can better understand your unique health challenges, how they impact your mental wellness, and possible action steps to improve your quality of life.
