I have a Doctorate and over 20 years of Therapy experience across diverse settings. With a strong Clinical foundation in mental health and education, I have a unique ability to understand how people learn and adapt—ensuring that the care you receive is both practical and tailored to your individual needs. You will experience a warm, trusting environment where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. I value strong ethical standards, professionalism, and healthy boundaries. You can feel confident in the personalized care you'll receive, as I work very hard to stay current with emerging research in Mental Health. I am self-aware and intentional in my work, adjusting strategies and referring out when necessary to ensure the highest quality of care. My work is guided by the belief in each person's capacity for healing and change. You're reading this, so you've already taken the first step.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session together—often called the intake or initial assessment—my primary focus is getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I view this as a conversation. My goal is to create transparency, understanding, and a sense of safety from the very start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me unique as a therapist is how I integrate my depth of experience, clinical training, and a teaching-oriented mindset into a highly personalized, client-centered approach. My focus is on real, lasting change. I not only seek to understand what you are experiencing, but also how you learn, process, and grow. My goal is for you to leave sessions not just with awareness, but with tools and skills that you can use in your everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adult men and women, who are navigating life transitions, career decisions, women's health issues, or striving to create a healthier lifestyle. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or in need of clarity, yet are motivated to grow, reset, and move forward with purpose. These men and women are open to exploring their concerns, setting meaningful goals, communicating honestly, and actively working toward positive change. They are also invested in the therapeutic process, respect boundaries, and show up consistently. I understand diverse learning styles and strive to tailor each Therapy session to the clients needs. The guiding pillars of my practice are compassion, empathy, respect, and authenticity.

My treatment methods

Supportive

By using Supportive Therapy, I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. I focus on active listening, validation, and encouragement to help you feel supported throughout your journey. Together, we work to navigate life’s stressors using practical and compassionate guidance.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I understand that culture, background, and personal experiences play an important role in how you see the world and navigate challenges. I approach therapy with openness, and I welcome you to share what feels important to you so we can shape our work in a way that truly fits your needs. My goal is to support you in a way that feels authentic, affirming, and aligned with who you are.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In our work together, my focus is on you—your experiences, your feelings, your environment, and your unique perspective. You are genuinely heard, accepted, and understood without judgment. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you with empathy and care as you explore what matters most and move toward the growth you’re seeking.

Strength-Based

In our work together, I focus on helping you recognize and build on the strengths you already have, as well as the ones you can develop. Even in difficult moments, there are skills, values, and inner resources that can assist in achieving meaningful change. My role is to help you identify those strengths and use them in practical ways to improve your outcomes, build confidence, and move toward the life you want.

Psychoeducation

As a Doctoral-Level Educator and Licensed Clinical Therapist, I see psychoeducation as an essential part of the therapeutic process. My goal is to connect professional knowledge with your lived experience in a way that feels meaningful and useful. By gaining clear understanding and usable skills, you can feel more empowered and better equipped to navigate real-life challenges.
