I graduated from Walden University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with specialization in Crisis and Trauma. I also attended the Northern Illinois University School Counselor Institute where I received my endorsement in school counseling. I have held certifications in Advanced Trauma Treatment for Children and Adolescents, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I have been working with children and teenagers for over 25 years and have been in the counseling field for just over 6 years.

I help individuals, teens, and couples break free from cycles of stress, trauma, and conflict. Drawing on my background as a first responder, I provide a grounded, nonjudgmental space for those in high-pressure fields—like military, healthcare, and fire services—to overcome burnout and find emotional clarity. Kristian received her Bachelor's degree at the University of North Florida followed by her Masters at Webster University. She engages others by building a rapport while also assisting her families to achieve set goals. She works with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, drug addicts, and parents who need guidance. Some specialty skills include problem-solving, communication, coping skills, and relaxation exercises for anxiety. Kristian focuses on improving the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education, and community support needs.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with nearly 17 years of experience working with youth, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and military members, veterans, and their families, to improve their mental health. I specialize in addressing issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting issues, and more. I earned my Master's degree Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Thomas University. I also completed a certification in loss and healing and a certification in trauma as well as two additional years of post-graduate study, passed the advanced national clinical board, and gained my professional license in the state of Florida afterward. I have chosen to continue my education by taking hundreds of hours of additional courses in the neurobiology of trauma, grief and loss, abuse recovery, child development, parenting, and communication.
