Hi, I’m Daicy Soares, LICSW, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, with a focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and everyday stressors. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT while tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what you’d like to get out of therapy. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s currently working or not working in your life, and the goals you’d like to focus on. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—my goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, comfortable, and clear about what our work together can look like.

Strengths

I bring warmth, authenticity, and a direct but compassionate approach to my sessions. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be yourself, while also being gently challenged when needed. I meet clients where they are, use humor when appropriate, and focus on practical tools and strategies that can be applied to everyday life. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply ready for something in their life to change. You don’t have to have everything figured out or even know exactly where to start—just a willingness to show up and be open to the process. I especially enjoy working with clients who want to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships and boundaries, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, explore how they may be impacting your daily life, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of responding. I also incorporate practical coping strategies that you can use outside of sessions to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges more effectively.
