Hello! I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over six years of clinical experience. I am a Florida-qualified supervisor for social work interns, an EMDRIA-approved EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)- trained therapist, and an ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) trained therapist. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, addressing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, immigration-related stress, depression, ADHD, and major life transitions. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges and fostering resilience and growth. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I will focus on better understanding your story through questions about your background, past events, and current stressors. My goal is to also create a warm and inviting environment. We will also begin to develop therapeutic goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I help to create a safe place for people to be vulnerable and feel heard. I have experience working with young children to young adults. I understand many times, these age groups do not feel heard by others around them, and this is the space I create for them. I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships through active listening, non-judgment, and having an open mind.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of my go-to interventions. In CBT, we will identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop an understanding of the connections among those thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. As we increase awareness of these thought patterns, we will develop healthier coping mechanisms, learn to challenge and restructure thoughts, and improve overall daily function. CBT can be used for anxiety, depression, behavior challenges, stress, and more.

EMDR

I have been EMDRIA EMDR-trained since May 2024. I incorporate EMDR in different problem areas, not just limited to trauma. EMDR can be used to address problems associated with life or work stress, abandonment, life transitions, anxiety, and more. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help reprocess and desensitize the effects produced by those stressful events.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

A major part of my focus is using solution-focused interventions to help process the present problem and focus on the future rather than the past. Through SFBT, we use problem-solving skills. SFBT helps to empower you as the major focus is spent working on solutions to achieve the outcome you desire.

Psychoeducation

I believe an essential part of therapy is education. Education is learning about the process of therapy, interventions, and overall learning about yourself and your environment.
