About me

I am a modern, open-minded, and nonjudgmental therapist who creates a safe space for clients to be their authentic selves. With more than 20 years of experience, I provide compassionate, culturally responsive care tailored to each person’s unique needs and life experiences. My approach is honest, relatable, and collaborative, combining proven therapeutic techniques with real-life strategies that help clients heal, grow, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is a relaxed, judgment-free conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We will discuss your concerns, personal history, strengths, goals, and what you hope to gain from counseling. You can expect me to listen with compassion, ask thoughtful questions, and meet you where you are without pressure or bias. Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan that feels practical, comfortable, and meaningful to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring more than 20 years of clinical experience, compassion, cultural awareness, and an open mind to every session. My strengths include creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. I am relatable, honest, patient, and skilled at helping clients recognize patterns, build on their strengths, and develop practical solutions. I combine evidence-based approaches with real-life understanding, while tailoring treatment to each client’s culture, experiences, needs, and goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready—or wants to become ready—to understand themselves, heal, and create meaningful change. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance-use concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck and uncertain about what comes next. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. You only need an open mind and a willingness to take the first step. Together, we can work toward goals such as building confidence and self-worth, managing emotions, improving communication and relationships, processing past experiences, developing healthier coping skills, maintaining sobriety, setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and creating greater peace and balance. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and provide an open-minded, culturally responsive, and judgment-free space where you can be honest, explore new ideas, and become the person you want to be.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Use CBT collaboratively to connect a specific situation with the client’s thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and actions—then test one small change. CBT is structured, but it should still feel like a conversation, not an interrogation or debate. Allow client to be themselves
