I am Kara Stewart, a licensed professional counselor that has served in the mental health field for over 18 years. Through my years of practice, I have learned that approaching therapy from a client-centered, individualized, and creative approach provides the best outcome in therapy. It is my personal goal to help others find their strengths, path to wellness, and skills to utilize their challenges, life story, victories, and perceived failures to enhance their life and relationships with others.
During the initial session, we will get to know each other, discuss the nature of therapy, expectations of the process, and reasons for seeking services. We will also review the limitations of confidentiality and the process itself.
I believe my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to meet people where they are by utilizing interventions that reflect their interests, personalities, and preferences. Incorporating holistic health approaches to managing mental health symptoms and overall wellness is also skill that I have committed a lot of time to mastering.

Exploring core beliefs empowers clients to challenge and reframe their belief systems if they find them to be faulty or counterproductive.
