Are you struggling to find motivation and happiness again in your daily life? Are you filled with worry and tension, feeling like you are constantly caught up with racing thoughts and what-ifs? Struggling to find your place in the world? My name is Elizabeth and you can call me Liz. I am the owner and therapist at Mindful Spectrum Therapy. I work with Women, and LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies who are living with depression, anxiety, trauma histories or navigating changes in their lives. I also am neurodivergent affirming, and work with individuals who are Autistic and/or ADHDers. Together in therapy we can look at patterns of coping, discuss past events that have been impactful to you, and explore how you can best lead a life aligned with your values. Whether you are navigating a transition in life, battling ongoing depression or anxious thoughts, struggling to fit in or trying to find your true self, I am here for you. Taking the initiative to begin the search for a therapist is no easy feat, and I am glad you are here. I look forward to connecting with you soon and beginning our therapeutic work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session this will be space for me to get to know you, and you to get to know me! We will explore some questions regarding what is bringing you to therapy, what your life has looked like in the past and now, and also goals for our therapeutic work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths include compassion, empathy, and being open minded. I enjoy being able to share experiences with individuals and learn about them and what brings each person joy.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals of the queer and neurodivergent communities, and also women of all stages of adulthood.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I see the therapeutic relationship as the building stone of our work together, and I respect clients as being the masters of their own lived experience, and move to work collaboratively to explore navigating life together. When there is trust and understanding we can further explore how to utilize different Cognitive Behavioral frameworks such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and how I can support you to reach your goals, and live a life that that is aligned with your values.
