New to Grow
My name is Adam, and I am a trauma-informed, client centered therapist. I have over 7 years of experience, 3 years licensed, working with w/ individuals of all ages in a variety of settings, helping to identify ways to manage daily crises and to find ways to address underlying issues, that is impacting their overall daily functioning. I obtained my Bachelor's in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and my Master’s in Social Work from Saint Louis University.
The first session isn’t an immediate fix or an evaluation of all of your inert desires! It’s an introduction and conversation, where we will discuss what led you to seeking therapy, and the overall outcomes you are hoping to achieve. In this conversation, you will receive a warm and welcoming environment, to explore your current goals and relevant background, using motivational interviewing and harm reduction approaches. During this session, we are not looking to unpack any deep-rooted traumas or work through any specific challenges, but instead, to identify a path we would like your journey to take, at a pace that is supportive, safe, and realistic to your overall goals.

I have a passion working w/ children, teens, and young adults, as they develop their own independence and transition through life.
I have a passion working w/ children, teens, and young adults, as they develop their own independence and transitions through the early developmental stages of life. Since every individual is different and has their own specific needs, I adapt my approach for each individual to match their desired outcomes from therapy. I have experience using play-based approaches, expressive arts, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help address life transitions, behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, and grief and loss.
