New to Grow
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with close to three years of experience working in a psychiatric urgent care setting, including providing care through telehealth. I specialize in evaluating and managing a wide range of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and acute psychiatric symptoms. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you feel heard, stabilized, and empowered in your treatment.
During your first session with me, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we take the time to understand what’s been going on for you. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any stressors or past experiences that may be impacting your well-being. We’ll also discuss your goals for treatment and what you’re hoping to get out of care. If appropriate, we may talk about diagnosis, medication options, and other supports such as therapy or coping strategies. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, have a clearer understanding of next steps, and leave with a plan tailored to your needs.
What stands out about my approach is the balance between clinical precision and genuine human connection. Working in a psychiatric urgent care setting has strengthened my ability to quickly assess, stabilize, and develop effective treatment plans, while my telehealth experience allows me to meet clients where they are both literally and emotionally. I provide a structured yet flexible approach that prioritizes safety, clarity, and immediate support when symptoms feel overwhelming. I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach, meaning you are an active partner in your care. Beyond medication management when appropriate, I focus on helping you understand your patterns, triggers, and strengths, while offering practical, evidence-based strategies you can apply in daily life. My goal is to help you achieve meaningful, lasting improvements whether that’s better mood stability, reduced anxiety, improved sleep, or overall functioning.
I am best positioned to serve individuals experiencing mood, anxiety, trauma-related, and thought disorders who are seeking a structured, collaborative, and clinically grounded approach to treatment. My practice supports patients dealing with conditions such as Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Psychotic Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual’s needs. I work best with clients who may be experiencing mood instability, persistent sadness, intrusive thoughts, heightened anxiety, trauma-related distress, or difficulty with reality testing, and who are motivated to better understand their symptoms and improve daily functioning. These individuals often seek clarity in diagnosis, symptom relief, emotional regulation, and practical coping strategies, while also benefiting from medication management and therapeutic support. My approach emphasizes collaboration, psychoeducation, and individualized care planning, helping patients build insight, stability, and long-term resilience.
Collaborative Management and Assessment of Suicidality (CAMS)
In my clinical practice, I use the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) framework to engage patients as active partners in identifying the specific psychological drivers of their suicidal thoughts, utilizing the Suicide Status Form to guide ongoing assessment and treatment. I incorporate targeted interventions and collaborative safety planning at each visit, continuously reassessing risk while fostering patient autonomy, insight, and stabilization.
