About me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating at any stage of life. Whether you are a teenager navigating the challenges of adolescence or an adult managing life's responsibilities and transitions, seeking support is a courageous step. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is welcoming, compassionate, and free from judgment, where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe therapy is more than just talking—it can be a place to laugh, reflect, learn, heal, and grow. My approach is personalized to meet the unique needs of each individual. For adolescents, I incorporate creative and engaging interventions, including art, games, and interactive activities, to encourage self-expression, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills. For adults, I provide a supportive environment to process challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful goals. The teenage years can bring challenges related to identity, friendships, family relationships, academic pressures, self-esteem, anxiety, and emotional well-being. Adults often face stressors related to careers, relationships, parenting, life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and balancing responsibilities. Regardless of age or circumstance, everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe each person has a unique story, and my role is to listen, understand, and help them build on their strengths. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a practical, down-to-earth way, helping clients recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we identify goals, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward positive change. As a clinician, I am honest, transparent, open-minded, and approachable. Whether you are an adolescent finding your voice or an adult seeking support through life's complexities, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, encouragement, and respect. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting your journey toward growth and healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, my focus is on getting to know you as a person, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy. We'll spend time talking about your background, what is important to you, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I'll also share information about myself, my approach to therapy, and answer any questions you may have so you can feel comfortable with the process. We'll discuss your presenting concerns and the reasons you're seeking support, while also exploring your strengths, supports, and the qualities that have helped you navigate difficulties in the past. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin working together toward your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is the balance of genuine connection and practical tools. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel truly heard, understood, and supported. I take time to build a strong therapeutic relationship and understand each person's unique story, values, and goals. While I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, I do so in a way that feels natural and personalized rather than rigid or overly clinical. I focus on helping clients recognize their strengths, build self-awareness, and develop skills they can use in everyday life. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and often incorporates humor when appropriate. I strive to create a space where clients can be themselves, feel safe exploring difficult topics, and leave sessions with both greater insight and practical strategies for moving forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are people who are engaged in the counseling process and willing to do the work both in and outside of sessions. They don't have to have all the answers or know exactly where to start, but they are open to self-reflection, growth, and trying new approaches. I enjoy working with individuals who can bring honesty and a sense of humor into the room. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also include moments of laughter and connection. Together, we work toward meaningful change, building on strengths and moving toward a life that feels more aligned with their values and goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a collaborative way. First and foremost, I spend time getting to know the person, hearing their story, and understanding what is important to them. I believe people are the experts on their own lives, so my role is to listen, provide support, and walk alongside them on their journey. As we work together, we look at how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and how they may be affecting their daily life. Sometimes people get stuck in patterns that made sense at one point but are no longer helping them move toward the life they want. Using CBT, we gently explore these patterns, identify obstacles, and develop more helpful ways of thinking and responding to challenges. I focus on building on each person's strengths, helping them develop practical coping skills, and supporting them in taking small, meaningful steps toward their goals. Throughout the process, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make changes that align with their values and what matters most to them.
