I am a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who values creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore, heal, and grow. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges, using approaches such as EMDR, IFS, and CBT. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build healthier patterns, and feel more connected and empowered in their daily lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. I will introduce myself, share a bit about my approach and experience as a therapist since 2018, and answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. We will also spend time exploring who you are, what has brought you to therapy, and what you are hoping to gain from our work together. Depending on your needs and comfort level, we may also review parts of the intake process to gather additional background information that can help guide treatment moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One thing that stands out about my therapeutic approach is that I value both professional training and personal understanding of the methods I use. I try very intentionally not to recommend approaches that I have not personally experienced as a client myself. Having participated in therapy and experienced the impact of modalities such as EMDR and IFS firsthand has deepened my belief in the healing process and allows me to approach clients with both clinical knowledge and genuine empathy. I strive to create a supportive, authentic, and collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and encouraged in their growth and healing journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is open to growth, self-exploration, and meaningful change. I enjoy working with individuals who are willing to look inward, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and work toward breaking unhealthy patterns or cycles that may no longer be serving them. I value creating a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel safe, empowered, and encouraged throughout their healing process.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – I have been trained in EMDR since 2018 and have experienced this work from both the clinician and client perspective. I use EMDR to help clients process trauma, reduce distressing symptoms, and move through experiences that may feel “stuck” emotionally or physically. EMDR can also be helpful in managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, self-worth, and difficult life experiences. My approach is grounded, supportive, and paced in a way that helps clients feel safe throughout the process.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS (Internal Family Systems) – I have been incorporating IFS into my practice for the past five years and have also experienced the model personally as a client. IFS offers a compassionate and nonjudgmental way to better understand the different “parts” of ourselves and the roles they have developed over time. I often find IFS to be a gentler approach that supports healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and patterns rooted in self-protection or past experiences. I value the insight, self-compassion, and emotional connection this work can foster within clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – I incorporate CBT techniques throughout my clinical work to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT can be especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, and negative thought patterns. I use CBT in a collaborative and practical way, helping clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier emotional and behavioral patterns that support lasting change.
