In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Life can feel overwhelming when you're carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, or the pressure to "have it all together." If you are struggling to find your footing or feeling disconnected from yourself, please know that you don't have to navigate this alone. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore your challenges and identify the strengths you already possess. Together, we will work to quiet the noise of stress and build a foundation of resilience and self-compassion that allows you to move forward with clarity and peace. First session would be an introduction of yourself, reason for therapy, and brief assessments or assessment overview. I will be here to listen, provide empathy and understanding, and guide on the next steps for our journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In addition to therapy, Dr. Williams has extensive experience conducting comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments to better understand each individual’s needs and guide effective treatment. She utilizes a variety of well-established tools, including brief screenings for anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, attention concerns, and cognitive functioning, to ensure clients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate levels of care. She is experienced in using assessments such as the GAD-7, PHQ-9, PCL-5, BDI-II, BAI, AUDIT, DAST-10, Conners Adult ADHD measures, the MMSE, and ASAM assessments for substance use treatment planning. Dr. Williams also has advanced training in the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI), a comprehensive tool used to better understand personality patterns and more complex clinical presentations. She has utilized the PAI-Plus in both clinical practice and doctoral-level research, bringing a deeper level of insight to diagnostic clarification and treatment planning when needed.
