New to Grow
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained can make it hard to know where to turn. You may be carrying stress from relationships, past trauma, or major life changes while trying to hold everything together on your own. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience supporting young adults and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship stress. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space, especially for individuals from BIPOC communities, where you can speak openly and feel understood without judgment. I work especially well with clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in difficult relationship patterns. In therapy, we focus on practical coping skills, emotional regulation, and building resilience so you can feel more grounded and confident in your daily life. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques, tailored to your lived experiences, values, and goals. I believe healing happens when you feel seen, supported, and empowered. We will work collaboratively at your pace to help you gain clarity, strengthen boundaries, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable for you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and we’ll take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you in and what you’d like support with. I’ll ask a few gentle questions to better understand what’s been going on and how it’s been affecting your daily life and/or relationships. This is a supportive, judgment-free conversation, and by the end of the session we’ll identify a few initial goals and decide how we can move forward together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am an empathetic, client-centered, insightful, and adaptable therapist who collaborates effectively.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m a good fit for you if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted and want support that feels warm, practical, and non-judgmental. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions, and I support clients who want to build coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and move forward with greater confidence and balance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related stress, and relationship challenges. In my work, CBT is used as a practical, collaborative approach that helps clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I support clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, managing intense emotions, and developing healthier coping strategies that feel realistic and sustainable. Sessions often include skill-building, self-reflection, and gentle practice of new tools that clients can apply in their daily lives. My approach to CBT is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, meaning I tailor interventions to each client’s lived experience, values, and cultural background. I believe CBT is most effective when clients feel safe, supported, and empowered, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable while working toward meaningful change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients build on their existing strengths and move toward meaningful change in a practical, goal-oriented way. This approach is especially helpful for individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. In my work, Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes identifying what is already working, clarifying personal goals, and developing small, achievable steps toward improvement. Rather than focusing only on problems, sessions highlight resilience, past successes, and skills clients already possess but may not fully recognize. I tailor this approach to each client’s unique experiences, values, and cultural background, creating a supportive and empowering environment. By focusing on solutions and progress, clients often experience increased confidence, hope, and a greater sense of control over their lives.
