New to Grow
Hi - I'm Jennifer, and I can't wait to get to know more about you. At Anchor Point Counseling and Coaching I provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for teens, adults, couples and families navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, trauma, divorce and co-parenting concerns. Drawing on experience in school, community and private practice settings, I've created a welcoming, judgement-free space where you can feel heard, seen and supported.
The first session provides an opportunity to explore fit. I believe that in order for therapy to be successful having a good fit is important. Our first session allows for us to focus on getting to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy and creating a space in which you can envision yourself being comfortable enough to explore the difficulties you are facing. Meeting someone new can be scary so, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My approach is down to earth, collaborative and focused on helping you find stability, clarity and direction while building a healthier, more balanced life. Whether you are facing a difficult season, working through family or relationship challenges, or simply feeling overhwlmed and under-supported, I offer a grounded space for healing, growth and meaningful change. You do not have to navigate life's challenges alone, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families who arent sure why everyday life can be so hard sometimes. We can work together to discover new strategies to tackle problems, explore capabilities, and identify goals. I can hold space if things get heavy and I am equipped to challenge thoughts if they are holding you back from achieving your potential. I enjoy working with clients that are motivated for change but might need a little extra support.
I use CBT as the foundation for treatment, becoming aware of the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviors is key to making positive changes.
With attachment-based therapy we can explore the past, identify patterns of behaviors, develop tools to support you in recognizing a healthy relationship.
