I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated from University of San Francisco in 2012. I have an extensive background working with adolescents, individuals, and families. My specialty is working with mood disorders and addictions. I believe "you cannot change what you don't acknowledge" and helping clients acknowledge change is the first step.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe in creating a safe and supportive place that allows that client to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe in empowering the client to self discover their path from where they are to where they would like to be.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
This is a short term model that will support clients in identifying strengths and resources to create practical solutions for current concerns. This is a collaborative process and is focused on finding solutions and does not focus on past issues.
Narrative
I help clients learn how to change their view of themselves and their experiences by exploring and re-authoring their life stories. This approach can be used with individuals, couples, and families.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use this most often to help clients identify and challenge negative thoughts, behaviors and pattens by changing thoughts and feelings by developing positive thinking.
