I am a queer, immigrant, gender non-conforming therapist focusing on trauma, identity-struggles, neurodiversity and personality disorders. I believe in care that is evidence-based and that can help my clients reach their goals. I help people identify how their past experiences are influencing their present, and recognizing things that truly matter to them. I focus on helping a person use that insight into working towards healing from the past, and building towards a hopeful future. I see myself as someone who joins my clients on their life journey and serve their needs in their attempt to improve their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will typically involve us talking about what brings you to therapy, us getting to know each other and working towards identifying goals with therapy
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a provider is my curiosity and my authenticity. I want to know and understand how you experience the world and what has shaped your understanding of the world. I believe that anything I recommend as a therapist, must be something that I am willing to do myself as well. I don’t expect anyone to take advice in therapy that I wouldnt give myself.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work well with people who are struggling with mental health concerns following traumatic experiences including narcissistic abuse, intergenerational trauma, sexual abuse and experiences related to their minority identity (gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, race, ethnicity, etc.). I am a good fit for people who have trouble identifying or communicating their needs, and struggle with a sense of chronic loneliness or depression. My style is also suited for folks who feel stuck in their life.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
CPT focuses on healing people heal from their trauma related symptoms by focusing on its impact in their daily lives. CPT does not require a trauma narrative and healing happens in roughly 7-15 sessions
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT focuses on recognizing what keeps us stuck in our lives, and connect with our values in order to continue moving forward and building a life worth living

Hardik is phenomenal at understanding subtext in getting to the heart of the topic, but also leaves space for you to share even deeper into your thoughts and gives you time for reflection. In just a couple of sessions, I'm able to recognize and put a name to my feelings in a way that's been validating and eye-opening. I look forward to our sessions.
