I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) based in Wisconsin.
My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, combining thoughtful medication management with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I emphasize safe, evidence-based treatment and work closely with you to find the most effective and appropriate plan tailored to your individual needs, with the goal of improving focus, stability, and overall quality of life.
First session
I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing a wide range of psychiatric concerns. During our initial session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your story, your goals, and what matters most to you. We will develop a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan, which may include medication management and psychotherapy. I value a collaborative approach and work best with individuals who are engaged in their care and open to working together toward meaningful, lasting improvement. Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled within 2–4 weeks to monitor progress and make thoughtful adjustments to optimize your treatment and overall functioning.
Strengths
I prioritize building strong rapport with each individual and take pride in developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term goals. I provide a holistic approach to care, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and overall well-being to support meaningful and lasting improvement.
Ideal clients
I work with children (ages 6–12), adolescents (13–17), and adults (18–65) who are motivated to better understand their mental health and develop practical, skills-based strategies for improvement. My approach is structured, supportive, and focused on helping patients achieve meaningful, measurable progress in their daily functioning and overall well-being. I commonly treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, stress, and life transitions, as well as more complex or chronic psychiatric conditions. I provide both psychotherapy—primarily cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)—and medication management, with an emphasis on safe, evidence-based care and ongoing monitoring. I strive to create an inclusive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including transgender individuals, men and women across the lifespan, and individuals living with HIV. My goal is for each patient to feel heard, respected, and supported in a way that aligns with their identity and lived experience. Patients who tend to benefit most from working with me are those who are open to a collaborative approach, willing to actively participate in treatment, and interested in clear guidance, education, and practical tools. I provide a direct, honest, and supportive style of care with a focus on structured, goal-oriented treatment using CBT and/or medication management. My goal is to create a professional and supportive space where patients feel comfortable discussing concerns while also being appropriately challenged to make meaningful, lasting changes that support long-term stability and growth.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for many psychiatric conditions. I routinely integrate CBT with medication management when appropriate to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
