PMHNP, 20 years of experience
As your psychiatric nurse practitioner, I offer personalized, compassionate mental health care that treats you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. I take time to listen, learn your story, and work alongside you as a team. Together, we carefully choose medications that fit your needs, always considering your overall well-being—mind, body, and life-while showing patience, purpose, empathy, and trust.
During the first session I get to know you and what is important to you. Then we delve into why you are present and how I can be of help.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to truly listen, my compassionate and non-judgmental approach, and my commitment to personalized, high-quality care. I take the time to understand each person’s story, collaborate on meaningful treatment goals, and ensure that every decision—especially around medication—is made with care and clarity. I value building trusting relationships, where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to take control of their mental health journey.
I’m best positioned to serve patients who value quality, thoughtful care and understand that mental health treatment is a journey, not a quick fix. My ideal clients are individuals who want to feel seen, heard, and respected—people who are ready to work collaboratively, ask questions, and take an active role in their care. They may be navigating complex emotions, life transitions, or ongoing mental health challenges, but what they share is a desire for genuine connection, clear communication, and a provider who listens, cares, and walks with them every step of the way. I serve kids and teens, adults of all ages, and individuals facing unique life transitions. I offer psychiatric evaluations and ongoing support for returning citizens, those in drug rehabilitation programs, and patients preparing for surgery related to physical health conditions. No matter where you are in your journey, I meet you with respect, clinical insight, and a commitment to your whole-person well-being.
I have over 20 years of nursing experience. This includes over a year and a half of experience in advanced practice nursing in psychiatry , more than six years as a Director of Nursing overseeing mental health care in schools and psychiatric clinics for adults and children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities —I bring both clinical expertise and compassionate care to every patient interaction. My treatment approach blends supportive therapy techniques with psychoeducation, ensuring that clients feel both emotionally supported and well-informed about their mental health. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance, fostering trust, and helping individuals gain practical tools to manage symptoms, understand their diagnoses, and make empowered decisions about their care. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or a more complex psychiatric condition, my goal is to provide patient-centered care that respects your journey and equips you for long-term wellness.
