I am a Marriage and Family Therapist #105699. I have experience working with women in individual therapy providing support to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, parenting, life adjustments, domestic violence, grief, and loss. I have a collaborative approach to goal setting. We work together to identify client's needs and what they want to accomplish in therapy. I will meet clients where they are and help them navigate through their journey.
During our first session, I will ask questions and gather information to learn more about you. We will explore your reason for seeking therapy and talk about the emotions and challenges you are experiencing. We will then decide what the next steps will be.
I want my clients to feel safe and comfortable. I communicate in a warm, accepting, supportive, and non-judgmental manner to promote healing and growth. I believe in providing unconditional positive regard throughout the therapy process.
I have dedicated my life to working in the mental health field. I have always been drawn to psychology and helping people who have endured painful situations. It is rewarding and a privilege to facilitate positive change in improving people's lives.
I have an integrative approach to therapy based on the client's needs. I use cognitive behavioral techniques and solution-focused therapy. We explore the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I focus on building from client's strengths; problem-solving and learning healthy coping skills. The therapeutic modalities I use are evidence-based and effective when addressing life challenges that lead to anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, anger, or conflict in relationships. I work with clients to truly understand their experiences and address underlying issues. I support in processing emotions, self-compassion, and empowerment to improve well-being and quality of life.
