I am a compassionate adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving individuals across Florida. My academic training includes an Associate’s degree from Miami Dade College, a Bachelor’s from South University, and both a Master’s and Doctorate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Florida International University. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and other mental health concerns.
I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, follow-up care, mental health consultations, and supportive counseling.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and patient-centered. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Each person’s story is unique, and I tailor treatment recommendations to meet your individual needs and goals. If you’re seeking flexible, supportive, and personalized care, I look forward to working with you and helping you feel more stable, grounded, and empowered.
First session
During our first appointment, I conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand your symptoms, medical history, past treatments, and current goals. This helps me develop an accurate diagnostic picture and create a personalized treatment plan. Follow-up sessions focus on monitoring your response to medication, discussing any changes in symptoms, and providing supportive counseling. I practice a collaborative approach, encouraging open communication so we can adjust treatment as needed to help you feel your best.
Strengths
My greatest strengths include providing a structured, evidence-based approach while maintaining a supportive and collaborative environment. I focus on practical, results-oriented care—helping clients develop clear coping strategies they can apply in their daily lives. I also integrate therapy with medication management when appropriate, allowing for a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults (18+) who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions and are motivated to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes. Many of my clients are seeking practical tools to manage symptoms, improve emotional balance, and build healthier thought patterns. I’m particularly well-suited for individuals who value a structured, collaborative approach and are open to combining therapy with medication management when appropriate. Clients who may benefit from a different provider include those seeking more intensive or specialized care, such as active substance dependence requiring detox services, severe psychiatric instability, or those primarily interested in long-term, unstructured psychotherapy without a skills-based focus.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process challenges, build emotional resilience, and feel understood. I focus on strengthening coping skills, reinforcing strengths, and offering guidance to help clients navigate stress and life transitions.
