Hi, I’m Daniel, a Licensed Professional Counselor serving residents of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Idaho. Before stepping into the therapy world, I worked in K–12 education, the fitness industry, and corporate America—experiences that shape the way I connect with clients today. I hold masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Sport-Exercise Psychology; I consider myself a life long learner, always pursing additional training to sharpen my skills. When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me combining my love of music and mental health advocacy by providing Mental Health First Aid at music events across the U.S. It’s just one more way I stay connected to people and bring support where it’s needed most.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is all about getting to know each other. I want you to feel comfortable, seen, and supported as we work together. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get out of it, and if you’ve been in therapy before - we'll discuss what you feel has worked (or hasn’t). And don’t be surprised if I ask you to share a few songs that capture your life—music is one of my favorite ways to connect and understand people.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I don’t just bring my clinical training into our work together—I bring real-life experience, too. My approach is shaped by lived experience, a deep understanding of how tough it can be to just get through the day in today’s world and in-depth training. There’s no one-size-fits-all method with me. Our work will be collaborative, flexible, and tailored to who you are, what you’ve been through, and where you want to go.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I tend to be a good fit for teens, adults, and couples—especially those who identify as athletes, BIPOC, or LGBTQ+—who are looking for support with burnout, mood and emotion regulation, communication struggles, identity exploration, life transitions, and navigating the ever-shifting social climate we’re all living in.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

This is using techniques from different types of therapy. It's like picking out several tools from a toolbox to fix different problems, instead of using one tool for everything. You're a unique individual and your sessions with me will reflect that.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Through DBT you'll learn skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships and cope with stress in healthy ways. We'll focus on staying present in the moment; getting through crises without harmful actions; understanding and managing emotions and improving communication and relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is a short-term, future-oriented approach focused on finding solutions to problems instead of dwelling on them. We'll identify your strengths while exploring your current circumstances and future hopes.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Through EFT I help couples see how emotions shape your connection with others, so you can feel closer and more secure. You'll improve your relationships by understanding and expressing your emotions more clearly.

Motivational Interviewing

MI helps you find your own motivation to make positive changes in your life. It's about helping you talk through your mixed feelings, so you can decide what changes you really want to make and feel confident doing it.
