LMFT, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Hi, I’m Rebeka, and I’m so glad you’re here. Life can be overwhelming at times, and whether you're facing anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, or simply trying to find your way, I’m here to walk alongside you. I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges and am skilled in many different therapeutic approaches. I specialize in helping clients overcome eating disorders, unresolved trauma and anxiety/OCD disorders. I am also skilled in helping my clients reflect internally and identify what is keeping them stuck in old patterns. Using a compassionate and client-centered approach, I support each person in working toward their goals at a pace that feels right for them.
In our first session, we will primarily discuss what is bringing you into therapy and what you hope to get out of the experience. I will also want to learn about your background and current life. My style is warm and I hope to make our sessions feel like a natural conversation instead of something formal and intimidating.
Every year I love practicing therapy more and I'm constantly striving to learn more so I can continue to help my clients. I am not afraid to give direct feedback and point out what could be keeping you stuck. My philosophy is that therapy should be comfortably uncomfortable, and it works best when we are aligned in the process of change.
Insight is an important part of therapy, and I balance this with helping you find ways to actually see changes in your life and relationships. Working with me will feel like we are actually "getting somewhere". I describe my style as open-minded, warm and empowering. I also like therapy to feel like a natural conversation and my personality is naturally grounded and down to earth. Clients often share with me that I'm able to accurately capture and reflect how they are feeling, and they also appreciate my willingness to challenge their stuck points. My approach is all about supporting you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, while finding the courage to change old patterns that are no longer serving you.
I have used ACT for over 5 years to help clients make transformational change in addressing anxiety and OCD.
I use Psychodynamic therapy to help clients understand how their defenses and reactions keep them stuck in unwanted behavioral and relationship patterns.
When indicated, I use EMDR to help clients reprocess trauma memories and transform negative self-beliefs.
I use ERP to address OCD and anxiety-related disorders. ERP has been highly effective for helping my clients learn to get out of anxiety and OCD cycles by facing their fears.
I use IFS as a standalone modality, as well as a way to deepen a client's experience with EMDR. IFS is a wonderful approach to increase distress tolerance, self-compassion and can help someone release old patterns.
