Hi! I'm Dr. Michelle and I look forward to meeting you! I am a helper by nature and look forward to helping you. I have lots of credentials but I am not a credential, but a compassionate therapist with a humanistic approach. I help people turn their lives around who may be sad, stuck, hurting or suffering in silence. I am a life-long learner, and believe in continuous learning. I have a B.S in Psychology from the University of Central Florida; a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health & School Counseling; Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education, also from UCF, and completed one year of an Organizational Leadership doctoral program. I have five state and national board certifications and/or licenses. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC); National Certified Counselor (NCC); Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC); State of Florida, DOH Chapter 491 Board Certified Qualified Supervisor (QS); and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator (CFM).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session we will meet to get to know how you like to be helped. We will determine your goals and I will share my approach with you, meeting you where you are and listening to your story and making sure that I understand what you want and help you with a plan.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Together, we will work on equipping you with the necessary tools to overcome obstacles and find tailored solutions that are unique to your needs. Throughout our counseling sessions, I will integrate person-centered, solution-focused, CBT, mindfulness and self-care practices to help you cultivate a loving relationship with yourself and others. I am here to support you. As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself. I am dedicated to empowering both men and women to overcome stress, boost their confidence, tackle challenges head-on, and conquer anxiety or new challenges. Remember, you are not alone on this journey, and it takes immense bravery and courage to seek the assistance of a mental health professional.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Extensive experience with solutions to move on with life post relationships, gas lighting, breakups, loss, etc. Focus on women's empowerment, teens, college students, adults of all all ages. Couples therapy, including intensives using Gottman Training, Level III, to help couples with communication, infidelity, recovering from arguments, and more.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you need the tools to empower yourself and are ready to do the work, I can help. I work best with those motivated to change their lives, achieve their goals, and learn new ways of thinking and approaching challenges. If you are open to learning and want strategies for success, I am here for you. To expect changes to happen in life, work must be done. If you are ready to work, let's talk.
