My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a type of psychotherapy that helps you move beyond negative thoughts and feelings in a meaningful way by: Accepting that your thoughts and emotions are an appropriate response to certain situations. Committing to making changes in your life that match your values. I believe in empowerment of choices and each client's input of needs are very important to me. Through Holistic approaches we will determine the best course of action to address your needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT within substance use disorder treatment as well as issues with depression and anxiety. Identifying these maladaptive thought are the catalyst to promote change. It’s helped many clients challenge repetitive thoughts and develop coping skills to manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

A mindfulness-based therapy assists the client with awareness of their internal thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as their external surroundings and situations, without automatic responses like stress or judgment. It can help reduce negative mood states like anxiety and stress, increase positive emotions, and improve attention, self-control, and self-regulation
