Welcome! I am a dual board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine and psychiatry, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults across the lifespan. My background in primary care, behavioral health, and complex medical settings has given me a comprehensive understanding of how mental and physical health can influence one another. I believe seeking mental health care is an important step, and you deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported throughout that process. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being open about your concerns. My approach is individualized and collaborative. I take the time to understand your unique experiences, symptoms, goals, and preferences rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can develop a treatment plan that feels appropriate for you and supports your overall well-being. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, mood changes, difficulty sleeping, or other mental health concerns, I am here to provide thoughtful, compassionate care and support you along your journey.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to care. We’ll discuss your concerns, history, goals, and what you hope to get from treatment. You’ll have space to ask questions, share what you’re comfortable with, and learn about potential treatment options. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer path forward.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to listen without judgment and truly understand the person behind the symptoms. I believe effective mental health care begins with feeling heard, respected, and safe enough to be honest about what you are experiencing. I take a thoughtful, individualized approach to each session. Rather than assuming that one treatment will work for everyone, I consider your unique history, symptoms, goals, preferences, and overall well-being when developing a treatment plan. My background in both family medicine and psychiatry also allows me to consider the connection between mental and physical health, including how medical conditions, medications, sleep, and lifestyle can affect your emotional well-being. I strive to create a calm and supportive space where you can openly discuss difficult experiences without feeling rushed or judged. I value collaboration and believe you should have an active voice in your care. When appropriate, I provide education about treatment options so that you can make informed decisions that feel right for you. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and supported—with a clearer sense of your next steps. I bring compassion, clinical knowledge, and genuine respect for each person's individual journey to every session

Ideal clients

My ideal client is anyone who feels ready to take a step toward better understanding and caring for their mental health. You may be experiencing a specific concern, navigating a difficult season of life, or simply looking for support and guidance to feel more like yourself again. I welcome individuals at different stages of life and with a wide range of experiences, concerns, and goals. Some clients may be seeking help for anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, sleep difficulties, or other mental health concerns, while others may be looking for support with personal growth, life transitions, or improving their overall emotional well-being. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you are seeking answers, exploring treatment options, considering medication management, or simply looking for someone who will listen without judgment, you are welcome here. I value clients who are willing to have an open conversation about their experiences and goals, but I also understand that everyone moves at their own pace. My role is not to tell you how you should feel or what your journey should look like. Instead, I strive to meet you where you are and work collaboratively toward care that feels appropriate for your individual needs. Ultimately, there is no single “ideal” person I am looking for. Every individual has a unique story, and I welcome the opportunity to understand yours.

Treatment methods

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate CBT and SFBT techniques to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We focus on identifying unhelpful patterns, building practical coping strategies, recognizing strengths, and setting realistic, meaningful goals. I tailor these approaches to each client’s individual needs and treatment goals.
