With over 23 years of experience in mental health care and doctoral-level training in psychiatric practice, I provide compassionate, expert care tailored to each individual’s needs. I specialize in integrating medication management with evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to deliver comprehensive, results-driven treatment. My approach goes beyond symptom management—I focus on uncovering and addressing the underlying factors impacting your mental health, including lifestyle, physical health, and life stressors. I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic partnership in which you feel supported, respected, and empowered. Together, we will create a clear, personalized path toward improved mood, better sleep, emotional balance, and a higher quality of life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session, we will complete a comprehensive evaluation to understand your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, and personal goals. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story in a supportive, judgment-free space while I ask focused questions to guide the assessment. Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, lifestyle strategies, and/or medication management, so you leave with clear direction and next steps.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients resolve ambivalence and achieve meaningful change. MI supports lasting progress while respecting their autonomy by fostering trust, exploring their goals, and empowering them with collaborative plans.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

nitial Assessment and Goal Setting Through Motivational Interviewing (MI), I explore clients’ concerns and goals, addressing ambivalence about treatment. This collaborative approach helps establish clear priorities for medication management and behavior changes. Education and Shared Decision-Making I educate clients about their prescribed medications, discussing benefits and potential side effects. Using MI, I align treatment plans with their values, fostering engagement and adherence. Monitoring and Behavioral Integration Regular follow-ups assess medication effectiveness and progress toward behavioral goals, such as stress management or improved sleep. MI helps identify barriers and encourages clients to stay motivated. Relapse Prevention and Planning Together, we create strategies to address challenges like missed doses or side effects. MI reinforces autonomy and confidence, supporting long-term success in managing mental health.
