New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I provide a supportive and collaborative space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills. My approach is client-centered and goal-oriented, meeting you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.
During our first session, we’ll take time to explore what’s been going on in your life and what you hope to gain from therapy. You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where I’ll gather background information and begin to understand your strengths as well as your challenges. We’ll also talk about next steps and create a plan that feels realistic and supportive for you.
My greatest strengths include creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood, while also providing practical, evidence-based tools that promote real change. I balance empathy with structure, helping clients gain insight while developing skills they can use in everyday life. I am also highly collaborative and adaptable, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
My ideal clients are individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and relationship challenges who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. I am best positioned to support those who are motivated for growth but may struggle with boundaries, communication, or self-confidence, and want practical tools to create meaningful change. I work well with clients who are open to exploring their thoughts and behaviors while building coping skills and developing a stronger sense of self.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal challenges by helping them identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. In my practice, I use structured techniques such as cognitive restructuring, coping skills training, and role-play to promote behavior change and emotional regulation. I tailor interventions to each client’s needs while focusing on practical, goal-oriented outcomes.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I have experience using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility and engage in values-based living. In my practice, I incorporate mindfulness, acceptance strategies, and values clarification to support clients in responding differently to difficult thoughts and emotions. I use ACT alongside skill-building to help clients take meaningful action aligned with their goals despite internal challenges
Motivational Interviewing
I have experience using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients in exploring ambivalence and increasing readiness for change. In my practice, I use techniques such as open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations to strengthen motivation and empower clients to make meaningful, self-directed decisions. I integrate MI with other approaches to enhance engagement and promote lasting behavior change.
