LISW (she/her)12 years of experience

Hi, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m an independently licensed social worker with over 12 years of experience in the social work field. I have had the opportunity to support children, adolescents, adults, and families through a variety of life experiences and challenges. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that you’ve come to a space where you can be seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I believe therapy can be a meaningful opportunity to better understand yourself, create meaningful change, and move toward the life you desire. I often think of growth like a sunflower. A sunflower doesn’t grow overnight, and it doesn’t bloom simply because someone tells it to. It needs patience, care, the right environment, and time. Most importantly, it continues to reach toward the light. I believe people are much the same. Even during difficult seasons, there is still room for growth, healing, and hope. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and strength-based approaches to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and experiences while developing practical tools for meaningful change. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, provide support and honest feedback, and help you recognize strengths and possibilities that may be difficult to see in yourself. Whether you’re navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, past experiences, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Sometimes growth begins with simply turning toward the light. Let’s work together to help you grow, heal, and bloom in your own time.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with people genuinely and authentically. I have a natural ability to make people feel comfortable, which allows clients to be open and honest without feeling like they have to have the “right” answers. I’m also someone who listens beyond the words being spoken. I pay attention to the emotions, patterns, and experiences underneath what a client is sharing, while remaining curious rather than making assumptions. Another strength I bring is the ability to balance empathy with honesty. I believe clients deserve to feel validated, but I also believe growth sometimes requires us to gently challenge the way we think, respond, or view ourselves. I strive to do that with compassion and respect. I’m naturally encouraging and intentional about helping people recognize possibilities, even when they may feel stuck. I bring a genuine belief that people are capable of growth and change, and I consider it a privilege to witness clients discover parts of themselves they may have overlooked. Above all, I bring my authentic self to the room. I don’t believe in creating a distant or overly clinical experience. I want therapy to feel like a genuine human connection where clients feel respected, understood, and encouraged throughout their journey.
