Jessica Banji-Ajala
My name is Jessica Banji-Ajala, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and the founder of Point Psychiatric and Wellness. My practice focuses on providing compassionate, individualized mental health care in a safe, respectful, and judgement -free environment. I believe every person's experience is unique, so I take the time to listen, understand clients concerns, and work collaboratively with patients to develop a treatment plan that supports their mental health and overall well-being.
First session
For my PMHNP practice, I would describe the first session as an opportunity for the client to feel heard, understand, and leave with a clear direction for treatment.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is that I genuinely listen. I want my patients to feel heard and understood, not judged or rushed. I take a whole-person approach and work collaboratively with each patient so that their treatment plan feels personalized and realistic. My goal is to create a space where my clients feel safe, respected, and comfortable working toward meaningful change.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an individual who is seeking compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based support for their mental health. They may be experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, stress, difficulty with sleep, or challenges adjusting to life transitions. Many of my clients may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, frustrated, or uncertain about how to move forward. They may have tried different approaches in the past or may be seeking professional help for the first time. What they often share is a desire to better understand themselves, improve their emotional wellbeing, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful change. I work especially well with clients who are open to collaboration, and want to be an active participant in their treatment. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns. Ultimately, I support clients who want more than simply managing symptoms - they want to build greater stability, confidence, and quality of life while developing a treatment plan that fits their individual needs, values, and goals.
