New to Grow
Hi, I'm Rebecca, a licensed professional clinical counselor with a passion for supporting individuals through life's challenges. I have experience working with clients across a broad range of ages who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, grief, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My therapeutic style is gentle yet direct, and I take a holistic approach, considering your unique experiences and drawing from various modalities, based upon your specific needs. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported and empowered.
During a first session, we spend time exploring your personal history, current concerns, and what is bringing you to counseling now. This helps me get a comprehensive understanding of your experiences, as well as your goals so that we can develop a plan that fits your needs.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is that I offer an empathetic, nonjudgemental space for my clients, while also offering honest feedback, and practical tools to assist them outside of session.
I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to invest in their personal growth and understand that lasting progress takes time, consistency, and commitment. These clients are often open to feedback, self-reflection, and new perspectives. Together, we'll celebrate successes, navigate setbacks, and work toward creating meaningful, sustainable change. Whether we're addressing long-standing challenges or navigating a new season of life, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment while helping clients stay accountable to the goals they've set for themselves.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a therapy modality that offers many useful perspectives, including how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can influence one another. Increasing our awareness to this reality can allow us to tackle old problems in new ways.
Grief Therapy
When appropriate, I utilize the models of grief presented by Kubler-Ross and Worden to assist clients in processing their thoughts and feelings surrounding areas of loss in their lives.
Humanistic
I believe humanistic therapy is an important foundation to the therapeutic process, given its focus on the client's strengths, potential and ability to enact change in their own lives.
