I’m a therapist committed to creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and able to show up as your full self. I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when you’re balancing responsibilities, navigating relationships, or managing stress that others may not always see. My goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, process your experiences, and begin to feel more grounded and in control. I use a collaborative and client-centered approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR to support both insight and meaningful change. Whether we’re identifying unhelpful patterns or working through past experiences that still feel present, I aim to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you. My background in public health and community-based work allows me to understand how personal experiences are often shaped by larger systems and environments. I value culturally responsive care and strive to create an inclusive space where all aspects of your identity are respected. Therapy with me is a space for growth, healing, and building practical tools you can carry into your everyday life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions going into your first session. My goal is to make that experience feel as comfortable and supportive as possible. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what’s been bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from the process. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready for; we’ll go at your pace. I’ll also ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and what support might look like for you. This helps me get a fuller picture so we can begin to identify what feels most important to focus on. Just as important, this is your opportunity to get a sense of me, my style, how I work, and whether it feels like a good fit. Therapy is a collaborative process, and feeling comfortable matters. By the end of the session, we’ll talk about next steps and begin thinking about goals, so you leave with a sense of direction and support.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel both supported and truly understood, while also being gently encouraged toward growth. I balance warmth and empathy with a practical, goal-oriented approach, helping clients not only process their experiences but also develop tools they can use in their everyday lives. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to identify meaningful ways to shift them. Whether someone is feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating a difficult transition, I focus on helping them build clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of control. I also bring an awareness of how life circumstances, relationships, and broader systems can impact mental health. This allows me to provide care that feels relevant, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-life experiences. Clients often share that they feel safe, heard, and supported, which allows them to be open and honest. My goal is to help you move forward with greater understanding, resilience, and lasting change that extends beyond our sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, high-functioning but stretched thin, and ready for change. Many of my clients are managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, or experiencing relationship challenges while continuing to meet the demands of daily life. On the outside, they often appear to have everything together, but internally may feel stressed, stuck, or disconnected. Some are also working through past experiences that still impact how they think, feel, or respond today. They may recognize patterns they want to change but aren’t sure how to move forward. My clients are open to self-reflection and want both insight and practical tools to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or a sense of being stuck, and work on practical ways to shift them. My goal is to help you build tools you can use in your everyday life to feel more in control and supported.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process past experiences that may still feel heavy or hard to move on from. This approach helps your brain reprocess those memories so they feel less overwhelming over time. Many people find it helps them feel more at peace and less triggered in their day-to-day life.

Group Therapy

I offer group therapy as a space to connect with others who may be going through similar experiences. Groups provide support, shared understanding, and the opportunity to learn from one another in a guided, safe environment. Many clients find comfort in knowing they’re not alone and gain new perspectives through group conversations.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I provide culturally sensitive therapy by recognizing and respecting how your background, identity, and lived experiences shape your perspective. I strive to create a space where all parts of you feel acknowledged and valued. Together, we consider how culture, community, and systems may impact your mental health and overall well-being.
