Hi there, I'm Marci. Whether you're experiencing a recent difficulty or a long-standing challenge, most of my clients trace depression and anxiety issues back to trauma. When people are traumatized, it often shapes their beliefs about themselves or their lives. Utilizing a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment, I strive to help my clients identify underlying beliefs, address certain behaviors, attitudes and emotions. We collaborate to establish healthier and more effective patterns of behaviors. I believe when we attain insight we can feel increased freedom and optimism; we no longer feel "stuck" and hopeless in our pain. I attempt to provide a unique therapeutic experience for my clients for which they can develop fuller, richer, and more meaningful lives. I have experience working with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

By learning some very specific things about your life, including your background, symptoms, relationships, work, health, and goals, I can more accurately determine how to help you and how to start off on the right track. The beginning of treatment is more like an assessment. Then we can start to build a relationship and that is when you’ll start to experience exciting insights and emotional catharsis. Part of the way you get good therapy is to keep working and tweaking what you’re doing until it really starts working for you. Far too many people give up on therapy too quickly and miss the chance to experience something life-changing, so don't give up!

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I utilize the following treatment methods and modalities: Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) - to accept life's difficulties and reduce avoidant coping styles Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) - to understand the relationship between what we think, feel, and do Interpersonal - to work through interpersonal relationship issues Motivational Interviewing - to move you through each stage of change Person-Centered - to use a non-authoritative approach Strength-Based - to focus more on internal strengths and resources Trauma Focused - to work through deep seeded emotional traumas

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I utilize the above-mentioned modalities in an eclectic style of therapy that can be beneficial to a broad spectrum of clients. I have worked with individuals who have suffered from traumatic events and major life changes leading to symptoms of PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. I work to integrate the inner workings of the mind and body for a wholistic approach to wellness, while being mindful of what barriers you may experience in attempting to achieve a more balanced and healthy life.
